Cormac McCool is a superhero from Ireland. The direct descendant of an Irish hero in ancient times, he has been chosen by the Irish deities as their champion

Appearance and personality[]
Cormac is tall, clean-shaven, with lustrous dark hair and a permanent twinkle in his eye. He dresses in a traditional Irish tunic and kilt, and carries a longbow and quiver at all times. He was handsome to begin with, and since his brush with divinity, he now possesses a charm that few can resist.
Powers[]
Cormac was gifted with a longbow by his patron deities into which several different types of magical arrow can be fitted. These arrows have a number of different effects:
- affecting the target with a form of magical inebriation, rendering them harmless in a fight;
- splitting up and can hit multiple targets;
- nullifying magical effects;
- allowing the area where the targeted arrow lands to be moulded and shaped to Cormac's will;
- creating an almost perfect illusion (only a sense of taste being missing from it);
In addition to this, he can craft verses on his harp which focus a powerful magical effect, channelling the power of the gods through ritual songs.
Beyond this, Cormac also has supernaturally good luck, and can also reverse this to cause other people to suffer bad luck.
Cormac is the gods' champion, and this extends beyond death. Until his work is done, Cormac will rise from the dead within a month of passing away to continue the fight at his patrons' wishes. However, there are times when powers of the gods wane, especially around Samhain. If he is killed on that night, with the right rituals, he will remain dead.
