Parvati is the artificial intelligence (AI) that administers and maintains Akshay Adani's home and lab. There are current three 'full-scale' versions of Parvati, one running Adani's mansion in Kashmir, one in the lab/workshop where he maintains Steel Shiva and one running the Justice League Satellite. A cut-down version of Parvati provides the computing power for the Steel Shiva suit itself.

History[]

Akshay Adani first started developing the software that would become Parvati to aid in the experiments that would lead to the development of the Quantum Zero Point energy source that revolutionised Adani Energies. As his needs developed, he continued to enhance the software and eventually added a self-regulating bootstrap routine that bootstrapped it to a weak AI.

At this time, Parvati was nicknamed Sachi, (after the wife of Indra, god of fire) and proved invaluable as a lab assistant. Later, when Adani decided to build a power suit to battle crime, he worked with Sachi to create a modified form that was more intelligent. This version was installed to his personal lab and workshop, and he christened it Parvati, as companion to what he was already calling Steel Shiva.

As the suit developed, in particular the additional robot arms, Adani worked on modifying Parvati to fluidly co-ordinate with his own movements, so that with some practice and training, the arms seemed to operate as if they were part of him, although they were controlled by Parvati. However, due to limited processing power within the suit, large parts of Parvati's personality and memory were cut out, in favour of combat and analysis routines.

Current Status[]

All incarnations of Parvati are able to communicate over network links, although they cannot bootstrap to full 'singularity-causing' sapience. After his first year of working with the Justice League, Adani had enough recorded events to be able to enhance the suit's combat AI further, making it even more deadly.

Parvati expanded from the Adani Energies workshop to become the central computer of Indra Tower, the main New Delhi headquarters of Adani Energies, although still known to the rest of the world as the expert system Sachi.
