The Milkman is a British superhero and member of The Star Chamber. One of the first British superheroes of the modern age, he continues to serve in his twilight years and is considered something of the heart of the UK's superhero community.
History[]
Inspired by the stories his family told him of "mystery-men" active during World War II, Alfred Hill was a community milkman who took matters into his own hands when his community was threatened by gangsters. He chased off thugs who threatened his neighbours by throwing milk bottles at them, his old schoolyard cricket skills having never left him.
Becoming something of a local fixture, locals would threaten criminals with "The Milkman": and when other superheroes began to unite in Britain, they invited The Milkman to join them.
Though many of his contemporaries are now dead or retired, The Milkman is one of the oldest mortal British superheroes still in service and remains a fixture of the scene. Some of the younger superheroes find him a little naff, but plenty of others respect him for the service he has given his country.
Appearance[]
The Milkman dresses in the style of an old-fashioned 1960s milkman: white overalls and a peaked cap.
Powers[]
The Milkman is not as fit as he once was: he has no super-powers to stem the passing years: but his Dairy Arsenal remains effective and his bowling is still bang on target. He has concocted all manner of milk-based weapons, including:
- Explosive Gold-Topped Bottles
- Blinding Sunrise Yogurt
- Sleep-Inducing Night-Time Ovaltine
- Euphoria-Inducing Milk of Human Kindness
- Slippery Butter
In addition, Alfred has a converted Milk Float, "Trigger". Capable of speeds up to 250 miles per hour, it is nicknamed "the fastest milk cart in the west"
